VERSIONME — PRIVACY POLICY Last updated: May 2026

  1. OVERVIEW VersionMe is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service.

  2. DATA WE COLLECT

2.1 Data you provide: - Your first name (entered during onboarding) - Goals you create and their titles - Custom goal descriptions - Reflection journal entries - Outcome check-in values (e.g., “ran 15 minutes”)

2.2 Data generated automatically: - Mission completion records - Streak and level progress - Difficulty ratings you assign to missions - App usage dates

2.3 Data we do NOT collect: - Email address or account credentials - Location data - Health kit or fitness tracker data - Device identifiers for advertising - Contacts or social data

  1. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

3.1 All data is stored locally on your device and optionally in your private iCloud account via CloudKit.

3.2 When you use Vex Pro AI features, limited data is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate coaching responses: - First name, goal title, level, streak, completion rate, skill level, difficulty average This data is used only for generating your response and is not retained by us after the API call.

3.3 When you create a custom goal, your goal description text is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate missions.

3.4 We do not sell your data. Ever. 3.5 We do not use your data for advertising. 3.6 We do not share your data with third parties except Anthropic (AI processing) and Apple (iCloud sync).

  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

4.1 Anthropic, PBC (Claude API) Used for: AI coaching responses and mission generation Data sent: name, goal stats (see 3.2 and 3.3) Their privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy

4.2 Apple CloudKit Used for: iCloud sync across your devices Data stored: all app data in your private container Apple cannot access your private CloudKit data. Their privacy policy: apple.com/privacy

  1. DATA RETENTION Your data remains on your device and iCloud until you:
    • Delete the app
    • Clear your data within the app
    • Delete your iCloud data from Settings

  2. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY VersionMe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

  3. YOUR RIGHTS You can delete all your data by:
    • Deleting the app from your device
    • Going to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → VersionMe → Delete Data
  4. SECURITY Your data is protected by:
    • On-device storage (not on our servers)
    • Apple’s iCloud encryption
    • HTTPS for all API communications

  5. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
